A slinger/signaller, also known as a banksman, is the person who works with the crane to attach and detach the load, direct its operation and movement, and guide the crane/vehicle at the construction site. This training course is meant for operators who wish to learn to operate a 360-degree excavator (above 10 tonnes) on construction sites. The 360 excavator is a standard piece of equipment used for digging, lifting, and moving materials, and it can rotate fully around its axis.
Excavator 180 courses are designed for individuals who operate or wish to operate a 180-degree wheeled excavator, a type of construction equipment used for digging, moving earth, and material handling on construction sites. Unlike the 360-degree excavator, the 180 excavator rotates only to the front and back and is typically mounted on wheels rather than tracks, offering road mobility.
The CPCS A56 Dump Truck is a certification under the UK's Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPCS). It provides proof of the operator's competence in handling articulated dump trucks, a standard construction vehicle used to transport loose materials like soil, gravel, or sand on large sites.
